SuperEnalotto’s Prize Claim Rules Return To Normal

SuperEnalotto’s Prize Claim Rules Return To Normal

The time period for claiming SuperEnalotto prizes has returned to normal. Deadlines had been suspended earlier this year so that players did not feel under pressure to come forward during the peak of the coronavirus crisis.

With restrictions imposed in Italy over the past few months to limit social contact and protect public health, lottery games have had to adapt in several ways.

One of the first steps was to suspend how long you had to claim prizes. Instead of the normal 90 days, there was no limit on when tickets expired during the lockdown.

The extent of the Covid-19 outbreak meant that SuperEnalotto draws stopped going ahead from 21st March, before resuming on 5th May. As life continues to get back to normal, the Customs and Monopolies Agency has announced that the freeze on prize deadlines is now over.

You therefore have 90 days from the date of the draw - excluding the period from 23rd February to 24th June - to come forward and claim any prizes. The claim period for other games has also resumed – it is only 60 days for Lotto, 10eLotto and MillionDay.

Biggest Jackpot in the World

Nobody has won the SuperEnalotto jackpot since draws restarted last month, and it has now grown higher than €54 million following the latest rollover on Tuesday 23rd June.

This places the SuperEnalotto jackpot as the largest lottery prize available anywhere in the world, exceeding even the likes of EuroMillions, Eurojackpot and the multi-state US games Powerball and Mega Millions.

The biggest SuperEnalotto jackpot ever came last year, when a player from Lodi landed €209 million on 13th August.

You can try to become the next big winner by buying a ticket from an authorised retailer or taking part online.
