After more than five months without a jackpot winner, someone hit all six numbers - 36, 40, 49, 54, 66 and 83 - in the draw on Thursday 20th March to win a prize worth €88.2 million.
It was a very similar payout to the last jackpot won on October 15, 2024, which was €89.2 million and was won in Riva del Garda in the province of Trento.
The first jackpot-winning ticket of 2025 was sold in Via della Giustiniana in Rome. Owner Marco Angeletti said: “I am very excited and happy, it is the first win of this size that has occurred at our point of sale and I must say that I have not yet fully realized it, I discovered it thanks to you journalists while I was trying to watch the Italy-Germany match.”
Angeletti added: “I don't know who the lucky winner is, we often have customers from the neighbourhood come here, but not only them. If they showed up and gave a gift to our store, we would be happy, also to celebrate together. I hope they will continue to come here, even if they remain anonymous. We will toast anyway, we are really very happy.”
Lazio ranks as the second-luckiest region for SuperEnalotto winners, after Campania with 20. There have been 12 jackpots won in Emilia Romagna.
The winner has 90 days from the draw date to claim their prize. They can visit one of Sisal’s two offices, and one is conveniently located in Rome if they were a local visitor to the point of sale in Via della Giustiniana.
The jackpot dropped back down to €9.5 million after being won. Draws continue every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, and you can view the results as soon as they are available to see if you are a winner.
