Going into the draw, the jackpot was worth €59,472,355.47 after 50 consecutive rollovers. Out of all the entries submitted into the draw, a single ticket matched all six main numbers - 16, 24, 29, 53, 73 and 88 - to win the full amount.
The Jolly was 62 and the SuperStar was 50. Across all the prize tiers, there were 339,852 winners in total. The SuperEnalotto Results page shows a full prize breakdown.
It has been revealed that the jackpot-winning ticket was sold at the Tabacchi Riv 45 store on via Luna e Sole 11. The winner spent only €3 on taking part, giving them an incredible return on their stake.
The focus will now turn to finding out more about the identity of the winner, including whether it was an individual or a group. Piera Fara, the owner of the winning store, said: “You must excuse me but I am very excited. We’ve had some winnings with ‘Scratch and Win’ but we didn’t really expect a ‘6’ in our betting shop.
It is the seventh – and largest – SuperEnalotto jackpot to have been won in Sardinia. Fara continued: “For all of us in our region this is really something. I don’t know if the person who bought the ticket is a local person or a tourist, as this is a very popular place.”
The last time the jackpot was won was back on 28th January, when a player from Arcola pocketed €67 million. The top prize has been rising ever since, although there was a six-week suspension between 21st March and 4th May due to coronavirus.
The biggest jackpot ever won in SuperEnalotto came last year - a ticket holder from Lodi scooped €209 million to pick up the largest lottery prize ever given away in Europe.
The jackpot for the next draw will stand at €11.8 million. Take part online now for your chance to win, or visit an authorised retailer.
