SuperEnalotto Jackpot Surpasses the €70 Million Mark

The top prize in the SuperEnalotto hasn’t be won for some time now, so the question that everyone is asking is when will the jackpot be won in this Italian lottery? Well there is a draw happening tonight so who knows, a lucky ticket holder in this lottery might just match all six of the numbers drawn to scoop the top prize later on this evening. The top prize has been rolling over since September 2011 which has meant that the SuperEnalotto jackpot has now surpassed the €70 million mark and it is estimated at €70.4 million for tonight’s draw.

The last time the SuperEnalotto jackpot was actually won was on the 22nd September 2011 when one ticket matched all six of the main numbers drawn which were 4, 6, 27, 37, 45 and 58 (Jolly number 84 and Superstar number 1) to win the SuperEnalotto jackpot that was worth €65,038,202.

As this current jackpot (€70.4 million) has been rolling over for almost six months now it has meant that it now stands at the highest amount since December 2010. On 27th December 2010 the jackpot was worth almost €72 million and in this particular draw two ticket holders matched the SuperEnalotto results to win just over €35.9 million each.

If this SuperEnalotto jackpot stays elusive and carries on rolling over then who knows we might just see a new record set for the biggest jackpot amount ever won in the SuperEnalotto. The largest amount ever won was set by one lucky ticket holder who won the impressive amount of €177,729,043 on the 30th October 2010.
