SuperEnalotto Winner From Rome For Second Time This Year

The jackpot of the SuperEnalotto which was won on 2nd August 2012 was collected by a single ticket holder from Rome. The jackpot had been rolling over since the last time it was won, which was on 24th May 2012, to reach an impressive €18.84 million. This is the second time this year that the SuperEnalotto jackpot has been won by a Roman citizen, as the winner of the €25.8 million jackpot on 24th May was also from Rome.

Although the name of the winner has not been released, we do know that the ticket was purchased from Via della Mercede in the Old Town, and that citizens of Rome are thrilled to be home to the jackpot winner for the second time this year.

Since the top prize was won at the beginning of the month, the new jackpot has continued to climb. SuperEnalotto celebrated its 100th draw yesterday on Tuesday, 21st August 2012, and although it was a shame there was no jackpot winner to mark the occasion, the rollover does mean that the jackpot has finally hit double figures, with an estimated jackpot for the draw on Thursday 23rd August 2012 of €10.5 million.

Players also have the Si Vince Tutto draw to look forward to next Wednesday 29th August 2012, which is a monthly draw that takes place on the final Wednesday of each month.
